Pimples are a natural occurrence on our skin that happens due to the accumulation of excess sebum and dead skin cells in the pores. However, they can be quite painful. It can also be frustrating at times when you have an important occasion ahead and your face sprouts some new acne. 

Factors like genetics, hormonal changes, medications, and even stress are a few of the several reasons that might cause pimples on your face. A good Anti-Acne cream will surely solve your problem, but they need time to work. Let us look at the top five tips to remove unwanted pimples from the face, neck, chest and even on your arms and shoulders. 

1) Ice Cubes

One of the most common methods of getting rid of pimples fast is to apply ice cubes. Other than using pimples cream, ice cubes are a great way to reduce the swelling of a pimple which has not yet resulted in an eruption of pus. Ice encourages the oil glands to push out bacteria and excess sebum out of the irritated glands thus effectively reducing the redness and swelling. Here is how you can use you can use it: 

  • Clean your face and neck with a mild face wash.
  • Wrap some cubes of ice in a thin cloth and keep it on the pimple for a while. Make sure not to apply the ice directly onto your skin and for a prolonged time or it may cause damage.
  • Keep it for a few seconds, no longer than a minute.
  • Remove the ice then wait for 5-10 minutes, then repeat if necessary.

2) Honey

Honey acts as a natural anti pimples cream and prevents the growth of several microorganisms and bacteria under the pores of our skin. Moreover, honey has anti-inflammatory properties which help reduce the swelling, redness, and drying of the skin that comes with pimples. Here is how you can use honey:

  • Clean your face and neck with a mild face wash.
  • Apply raw honey on the affected areas and leave it on for half an hour.
  • Wash it with warm water and repeat twice a day.

3) Herbal Pimples Cream

If you want to keep the occurrence of pimples at bay then try using herbal acne cream. Herbal creams are much more effective as it does not contain any harsh chemicals that might cause adverse effects on your skin.

4) Lemon Juice

Lemon contains Vitamin C which acts as an excellent deterrent towards bacteria that causes pimples. It also helps with the redness that occurs with pimples. You can dilute the lemon juice before applying on your skin. Do not leave it on for more than 20 minutes.

5) Garlic

Another effective remedy against pimples is garlic cloves. Garlic has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, antioxidant, anti-fungal, as well as anti-inflammatory properties. Garlic is also rich in several minerals and Vitamin C which fights pimples efficiently. Apply peeled and cut garlic cloves onto your skin then wash it with some cold water.
