One of the many things that fascinates me is how names can tell us so much about a person. In some cases, it’s as simple as knowing their first and last name in order to know who they are. But sometimes, we need more than that. Sometimes we need to know what kind of life they’ve lived in order to understand who they are deep down inside. And this is where Roman male names come into play!

The following list contains ten different types of Roman male names that you can use for your next hero or protagonist:

Numa

Aulus

Vulcanus

Lucius

Lucanus

Plinius Secundus Augustus Caesar Nero Claudius Tiberius Caligula Gaius Julius Caesar Octavian Germanicus Flavia Domitilla Agrippina Claudia Antonia Aurelia Livilla Commodus Caracalla Valerian Maximinus Constantine Gallien Maximus Licinias (Licinian) Romulus Aethelstan Arnulf Hrothgar Alfred Quincey Andrew Marcello Christian Emiliano Eduardo Edward Leo Victor Hugo Felix Luca Alexander Francis Xavier Vincent Sebastian Marco Antonio Fabio Alexei José Luis Christopher Emmanuel.

Padre Pedro, the parish priest from my hometown of Guadalaj ara, Mexico always said that there is no life without its trials. His church was the only place I felt safe from my father’s drunken rages, when his sermons showed me a bigger picture of what we could become if we just had faith in ourselves and each other.

Padre Pedro taught us to believe in our own strength; he encouraged us to help one another with kindness and understanding so that together we can make it through anything.

He made heroes out of all those who came into contact with him: the baker’s daughter, girls at school whose parents were too busy working themselves to care for them-children who would otherwise grow up feeling helpless-he transformed their lives by showing them they are loved.

Nicanor, a little boy who had been abandoned and became his favorite student. When he died in the second world war, Padre Pedro named him as one of the heroes to inspire future generations that they too could make an impact on history.

He took me aside when I was thirteen and told me my life would be different from his; that instead of becoming a priest, like himself or any other girl raised with only women for company, I should go out into the world to do something great; because we are all capable of creating our own legend.”

We were never afraid while he led us through this life full of trials: faith in ourselves is what made us strong enough not just to survive but thrive under adversity.

Padre Pedro’s epitaph reads: “I have put my trust in God, and I am not afraid of what is to come.”

It was Padre Pedro who encouraged me to go to the university. icanor had attended a seminary for five years before he began teaching at San Juan Central School; it was his fervent hope that an education would help us escape poverty and make our voices heard among those who ruled over us.

He told me about other girls like myself, whom he met while travelling across Europe as a missionary, studying abroad with their families during summer vacations–girls whose stories seemed so glamorous by comparison to ours because they were born into privilege but chose instead to live humbly when they could have enjoyed.
