At this time of year, it seems like all of the weddings in Hawaii are happening during a period of time that brings everything from sunburns to rain and humidity. The last few weeks I’ve been having my husband and I drive through a few wedding locations and I’ve been noticing a few things that really aren’t to everyone’s liking.
To begin with, the location choices seemed to be somewhat random. That’s not to say that there weren’t some locations that had a definite vibe associated with them. The wedding in Maui was no exception. The location was gorgeous, but the bride and groom seemed to be getting into a lot of trouble. The bridal party was dressed to the hilt in Hawaiian attire, and the groom had his Hawaiian shirt tucked into the back of his jeans.
The problem is that, while those choices were in the direction of Hawaiian Wedding, the rest of the location and the general feel of the place werent. The place had a very generic feel. The location of the wedding was gorgeous and the general ambiance was one of calm serenity. The wedding party was also dressed in Hawaiian attire, but it was the groom and his friends who were the most noticeable. They were dressed in Hawaiian shirts and shorts, and they wore cowboy hats and boots.
While the general vibe is really nice, I think the wedding itself was a bit too touristy. The location was stunning, the actual ceremony was beautiful, and the guests were so well-matched that it was a bit jarring to see people in a different location. The fact that the church was in a town where everyone is pretty close-knit made it less of a party and more of a church wedding.
The wedding itself was okay, but I think the location was a bit too generic. The setting was pretty nice though. The dress was gorgeous, and the bride and groom were so well-matched that this would have been an excellent dress for the occasion.

The setting is like a good party, and it’s also kind of generic. The church was in a town where everyone is pretty close-knit made it less of a party and more of a church wedding, but the setting was generic.
The setting, and the dress, were okay, but the party was a little bland. I think the dress was gorgeous, but the setting was generic.
In the end, I think the dress was gorgeous that the setting was generic. The setting was generic, so maybe that makes it okay, but the dress was generic.
I think we can all agree that the dress is gorgeous. I’m just not sure that I’m looking forward to my wedding.
